Our History
1979 – Sale of 6.000 St. Neoplan buses to Saudi Arabia by Gottlob Auwärter GmbH & Co KG – deal sealed by Karlheinz Volk. Foundation of SAPTCO (Saudi Arabian Public Transport Company)
1981 – Foundation of Neoplan Service (predecessor of NP Trading GmbH) as a service company for the Middle East
1985 – Foundation and set-up of local workshops for SAPTCO by Neoplan Service GmbH
1986 – Foundation of Neoplan Trading GmbH, with HRH Prince Abdullah bin Khaled as official representative of the NEOPLAN brand in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
2001 – MAN AG acquires Gottlob Auwärter GmbH & Co. KG – Neoplan becomes premium bus brand of MAN Truck & Bus AG
2003 – Acquisition of all company shares by the German businessman Karlheinz Volk – company changes name to NP Trading GmbH
2010 – Company management transferred to son Christian Volk
2012 – Establishment of a consignment warehouse for our customers in Jeddah / Saudi Arabia
2013 – Company relocation and opening of new head office in Mörfelden-Walldorf (near Frankfurt am Main)
